It’s Too Hot for this Chickadee

birdbath - chickadee1

Is the entire world melting or is it just Texaa? Don’t get me wrong. It’s a nice change of pace to be able to blame my perpetual sweaty glow on on the weather instead of my standard hormonal beatdown. Some refer to this female physiological anarchy as “The Change” but if you use those words in my presence, you will visibly see me throw up in my mouth a little. Seriously people. Blegh!

Stop. Calling. It. That.

Let’s all agree that it shall henceforth be known as “Advanced Creaky Hoo-hah Syndrome” and be done with all other terms (scientific, irritating, or otherwise). Okay?

As a quick side note for my fellow birdnerds, adding a birdbath to your yard is a sure way to attract more feathered critters. I should also mention that if it continues to get hotter and hotter, it is quite likely that you will see me splashing around in your new aquatic feature as well. You have been warned.

😉 Jo

Thank God you live at the most air-conditioned city in the world. It´s funny how those places have such a natural beauty that we can call paradise, but their weather is more like hell. I am ready to go to Cancun in few days and I know for sure that what I am going to miss the most from Mexico City is its great weather all year long.

I call it Voldemort….Rowling said that was the worst word imaginable, and it’s name should be never be spoken. I feel Voldemort was just an innocent bystander when the other thing is in the way….. love the pics FYI…

It sure is hot here! Everyone complains about the “cold” here and I think they’re nuts! I don’t remember it being this hot when I was growing up here!

We had a few very extreme heat waves every now and then (I remember one summer when the forecast said that the high was going to be 110-115!), but I tend to block them from my memory, too!

Blighty is having a heatwave. We’re days away from a hosepipe ban and as usual we can’t cope. Ok, I can’t cope. This heat is killing me. I’m typing this from inside my fridge. Today’s temp is supposed to break all records in this country. :0 X

I’ve left the fridge. It’s chucking it down with 50mph gusts of wind. Normal British summertime has resumed. 😉
