Question for the Bookworms

bookworm2I mentioned the idea of starting an online book club a few posts ago and definitely received some indications of interest. The book du jour (or really du next few weeks) is “The Untethered Soul.” Amazon affiliate links to the book versions are below.

Soooo here is my question – how would YOU like to do this? A couple of possibilities are tackling a few chapters each week via a blog post or potentially going through a free conference call service in order to have an actual live conversation as a group. Honestly I like both ideas. What do you think? And do you truly want to participate or are you just kicking around the thought? I’m completely okay either way. I just want to have an idea as to the number of participants to be able to gauge how to move forward. Please let me know! :)

Some of the chapters of THE UNTETHERED SOUL lend themselves to group discussions and comments. Others are more solitary, and still others feel like they could be referred to and compared in general or specific sections. Does that make sense? Maybe this book could be handled by themes or topics? I don’t know; it’s just a suggestion if you want to pose a question and then elicit comments in response.

Hmmm. I don’t know how to blog but I’m up for a learning experience. I think more people will be able to participate than having a commitment of the time constraints of a conference call. Maybe try one of each and see what works? Or whatever the majority votes. Xxxooo Heidi

Conferencing could pose problems with time commitments and time zones. Blogging works best I think.

Just put a hold on the book at library — I’m on a waiting list so not sure how long I have to wait but as soon as I can I’ll start and I’ll follow along in the posts whether I’m reading yet or not. Sounds fun.

I am completely interested! I would prefer blog posting to a conference call.
