Well apparently if you live in the MoJo house, the age that you become too old for a pic with Santa is about 7 years old. Yep. Those are my kids.
The big irony is that grumpy smurf is a very loving and fun kid who still believes in Santa (but then again I do, too). Apparently he just doesn’t believe in photography.

Love it! We gave up on Santa photos a long time ago! J was deathly afraid of mall Santa
this is a keeper though!
I think was more nervous than upset about the photo, too. And frankly sitting on some strange guy’s lap isn’t typically encouraged so I get it!
LOL — I like the fact he doesn’t believe in photography but does believe in Santa. Very cool! Great pic.
Thanks love!
Oh, no! no! no! My “kids” are 35 and 30 .. and married. EVERY YEAR they get their picture taken with Santa. Now their wives are in the pictures, too. Yes, really. I have a wonderful photo album of Santa pics we add to it every year. And I’ve made a video montage of all the Santa photos, starting from 1977, and add to it every year. Keep visiting Santa. It makes a wonderful tradition.
I was totally good with Santa until years ago one of my girlfriends and I decided to take a pic while out shopping. We were young hot twenty somethings at that point (a little less so nowadays!). Anyhoo Santa eyed and said come sit on Santa’s lap ladies. It was clear he wasn’t asking for our Xmas lists! So that scared me off quite a bit. I just try with the kids because it should be a fun, sweet thing. I love that your family still does that. Adorable!
ha ha – I rememer those days of rolled eyes
Normally that kind of behavior would really irk me but the situation was just too funny.
. Gotta laugh, right??
you will have that forever and be able to bring it out when he brings his girlfriend home
Exactly!!!
Oh HO HO Mom paybacks LOL !
Exactly! You know I had it comin’!
Miss you!!!
Just like HE will down the road!
oh yeah – mine was the polka dot polyester suit my Mom made me in the 70′s – pic hung right in the hallway where it couldn’t be missed.
That is AWESOME! You know I need to see that someday. I love your mom. She is my hero!
LOL, that photo is priceless. I was always afraid of Santa, and anything in costume, in fact. Still am, actually. I especially hate it when you can’t see their faces, so you can’t tell what they’re thinking. Eeesh.
Yes!!! And clowns in full clown getups!!! Why would you wear those shoes when their are so many better choices? And what happened to your freakish car! Lol!
Love that, “…apparently he doesn’t believe in photography..”!
You’re a mama so I know you understand that one!
Awww, so cute!! Love his face!
He really is a likable kid. This picture kinda leaves that to the imagination (but I about peed on myself laughing when I first saw it).
This is priceless. Keep the spirit alive its so good for the heart!
I totally agree!
What a great photo! A family treasure in the future, I’m certain….
Yes it is going up on the wall of shame for all eternity and future dates to see… That will teach him!
See ? SEE ?!
HA !! All you Moms think alike, oh funny Mojo. !
If you can’t embarrass your kids, what is the point of having them????
Love this pic!! Your kids are so cute and this one is priceless!
I think it is funny, too! Am I the worst parent ever? Oh well. At least we have fun! (Other than on picture day).
That is soooo funny! I love it!!
Me too! Can’t wait to see what happens on everyone else’s holiday pics.
Love this photo! Your kiddos are adorable…
They USUALLY are! I’m afraid this pic doesn’t capture that element but it definitely captures them being kid-ish!
Oh my gosh ~ what adorable kids you have! And your son’s look makes me laugh out loud. Yup, guess he still likes Santa but not photos WITH said-person!
Well hellooooo beautiful birthday girl!!!! I hope you have the BEST day ever (so far!) and each day just gets better and better. So much love to you dear friend!!! Joanna.
The look on the face of the boy in the picture says it all! ;=)
I have a friend who just retired, and she still loves to have her picture taken with Santa…but she doesn’t sit on his lap. She has an entire album of “pictures with Santa” beginning when she was a child. This is her must-do activity during the week before Christmas.
Apparently this is a common tradition. It appears that my son will not be adding this to his must do holiday list. Oh well! At least it went out with a bang!
LOVE it!! This should be your Christmas card picture!
It probably will be. This is the kind of stuff we like to send out. It’s more fun to get a card that makes you laugh. Well I think it’s more fun. And then we will have a good pic in there as well. Btw I miss you!!!!
I miss you too!! I have been horrible about logging on and checking and responding.
Hugs to you!
Love the face (already acting like a teenager) … great post!
